San Miguel Resource Center
Curate Telluride is proud to support San Miguel Resource Center through our donation of a portion of every stay. SMRC’s value to the region is immeasurable, particularly given its role as the only non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in San Miguel County and West Montrose County. The center’s comprehensive approach extends beyond crisis intervention, focusing on prevention through education, which is evident in its school-based programs and community awareness events, such as those held throughout the year to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault. The center’s bilingual services, offered in English and Spanish, ensure accessibility for diverse populations, with the Cultural Outreach Program specifically targeting the Hispanic/Latino community. This inclusivity is crucial in a region with varied demographics, promoting a culture of respect and safety. SMRC’s efforts in empowering survivors—helping them transition from victims to survivors—contribute to breaking the cycle of violence, fostering long-term social change. The center’s vision of an equitable community, where every person has the right to be safe and free from oppression, aligns with its mission to advocate for individuals and promote community awareness.
